Is there a low or no cost acid free paper for storing old photos and documents?

I have quite a few things that should be stored in acid free paper, I haven't tried to buy it, don't even know where to get it. I am hoping someone can tell me of some type of acid free paper or material that may be readily available without having to purchase it, ei, grocery bags, paper towels, shoe boxes? I don't know what is acid free and what is not. Thanks for any help!

Acid-free paper has a neutral pH. I've included a Wikipedia link with a general description. When my Mom died she left me about two cubic feet of old photos and documents as well as a big box of textiles (which also need to be preserved in an acid-free environment). I couldn't find anything of archival quality without purchasing it. The least expensive method I found was to put the photos in archival "plastic" pages in a binder. I've included a second link from a historical society with a bunch of reference links to places to buy supplies. Personally, I found the best prices at Light Impressions. I bought tissue paper there, too, which I used to protect my textiles. Hope I've helped.
Reply:After I answd I found this:This def of acid-free is from Georgia Pacific: Acid-Free refers to alkaline-based manufacturing process. Has greater brightness %26amp; longevity; is used in framing materials %26amp; creating docs of historic significance - it resists deterioration. All GP paper is acid-free Report It
