http://www.target.com/Xhilaration-Gess-F...

these are the shoes .. I have several already.. the are fake material that seems like suade. Would it work to glue tiny rhinestones on the straps?

What kind of glue would I need to bond well with the rhinestones and faux suade? What kind of glue from the craft store? Or would super glue work? i dont want to use a hot glue gun...

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

You should use a product that is water resistant. Go to the hardware section of Target or Walmart and get a tube of Loctite All Purpose Handyman's Adhesive. This stuff works on everything. Don't use hot glue as the stones will break off. Superglue may melt the fake suede.
Reply:Go to Michael's or Hobby Lobby or someplace like that. They have entire aisles full of glue, and people who know what's what. Take the shoes and ask them which glue would be best.
Reply:you have to be careful with rhinestones-some glue will destroy the foil backing on them and then they lose their shine.

Try E6000 glue -it is safe for rhinestones and will bond to most surfaces. You should be able to find it at craft or hardware stores.

another choice is GS Hypo cement - a little harder to find but works very well and has a very fine point.
Reply:Superglue MIGHT work, but I'd be more inclined to find a fabric glue. What you need is the type used by dance costume makers to glue the Rhinestones onto their gowns. Try somewhere like here: http://www.crystal-beads.co.uk/swarovski...
