Help walking in stilettos?

Is there any type of padding or material to put on the bottom of your shoes to make walking on floors less slippery... to improve traction?

Help walking in stilettos?
Yes, there is an adhesive pad that you apply to the bottom of the toe/front of the shoe. It's got a strong adhesive on one side to stick to the shoe, and either ridges or a rough material on the other for more grip against the ground. You can find them at most shoe stores, or on line.

Reply:If you mean the part of your shoe that faces the floor, you could take it to a shoemender's store to let them cut some grooves into the bottom so it increases traction.

If you want to keep your feet from slipping in your shoes, then get Party Feet goods from Scholl's
Reply:Hi there!

I know women who once buying any pair of shoes, will immediately get themselves to a cobbler to put extra rubber soles on the ball of the foot part, and the heel part. Do that before you wear them down! This is particularly so for the leather-soled stiletto.

Trouble with stilettos is that the heel will almost invariably get stuck in any cracked pavement (as mine do, and it hurts each time as they are a beautfiul glossy bevelled black heel... sob) so make sure you get the heel done as it's supposed to be harder for the cobbler to mend the original pad rather than an additional one.

A tip to make stilettos more wearable is to get those which a slightly platformed at the toes as it lets you balance a bit more weight toward the heel rather than toward the toes... and so it's less difficult to slip and fall :)

Make sure also that there's enough traction on the *inside* of the sole with either, it could help if your shoes get loose to grip 'em from the inside :P I haven't had that problem, but then I don't like to wear them for long hours and I can see where they might help then.

Good luck, and hope it helps :)
Reply:There's this thing called Scholl Party Feet, which you can put at the base of your shoes. I don't quite know how to explain, just go to http://www.partyfeet.co.uk/
