Does applying underarm deodorant on my feet prevent smelly cheap shoes?

I got my favorite shoes from Payless and I love it! It's the most comfortable shoes I've ever had but they stinks now...I've never had such problem before. Is it because of the cheap material or did my feet change somehow? If underarm deodorant prevents sweat and odor, I don't see why it cannot help my feet.

Yes it does work but make sure you use one that is a dry stick formula or your feet will slide in your shoes i do this with a couple of pairs myself
Reply:If skin feels hot...it sweats to cool down.

Deodorants(wherever applied) makes the skin immune to this response,i.e, the skin does not sweat even when u feel hot.

It may stop further stinking(LOL) your shoes but will not lessen the prior contamination....so wash the shoes and resuse.check the deodorant does not cause any irritation, try wearing socks otherwise.

may god be with the ones around you!Amen!
Reply:It's proportional to the cost of the shoes. lol
Reply:IT CAN'T MAKE THEM SMELL ANY WORSE,TRY AND LET US KNOW.
Reply:They must be enclosed shoes which are not allowing your feet to breath, therefore they sweat. Try wearing a sockette, this will minimise the sweat and the smell. There are foot odour powders on the market.
Reply:it is worth a try!

Maybe the shoes don't breathe very well, and your feet get sweaty...
