Science Assignment - Machines. Help!?

We are to construct a compound machine using at least two different simple machines (wheel and axle, levers, pulleys, gears, inclined planes) which work together to perform a particular function. It is supposed to be a toy for children aged fie to six and has to be around the size of a shoe box. We are not allowed to buy anything; we can only use recyclable materials eg wood, cardboard etc.

I can't think of anything and it's almost due.

Thank you!!! All answers are appreciated!

Science Assignment - Machines. Help!?
Take a kids shoebox. (Ask at a Payless or Walmart.) Put a pencil through the box near the top and one at the bottom. make a scroll of paper. Draw some pictures on it to tell a story, like a fairy tale - "The Three Little Pigs" - or something. Attach the paper to the top pencil and roll up the excess and attach to the other pencil. Cut a hole in the box lid to frame your story pictures as you turn the crank to make the pencil roll the paper from top to bottom revealing one picture at a time to tell the story. Somehow you need to attach a lever to one pencil end that sticks through so that you use wheel and axle plus a lever to make it compound.
Reply:what about some type of jack in the box? the handle could be a wheel and axle, and i'm not sure about what the other simple machine could be.
