Do black shoes go with a purple silk dress?

So here's the deal - I have prom coming up in about a week and I have a dress but no shoes. The dress goes down to a little past my ankles. It's dark purple and silky material. The front part where your boobs go is like scrunched up and then theres this diamond sparkly pendant that hangs down about 2 inches down the middle and the straps go from the middle of the front of the dress to the back. The straps are like diamond sparkly as well.... I found a pair of shoes that are like shiny black and have like a couple diamond stones on the strap that goes over my toes but I'm not sure if that goes. What type of shoe and what color? It's really hard to decide because in the front my dress is short (ankle length or so) but in the back there's like a 6 inch trail.





Also - I kind of decided not to wear jewelry since there's so much going on around the top part of the dress... Does that sound okay? Any suggestions at all?





Last thing - I'm thinking smokey eyes to go with the black shoes? lol

I know these aren't prom dresses but it was just to show you that purple dresses and black shoes look nice :) Oh and as for the jewelry I wouldn't say a necklace or anything but a little pair of gold studs with a simple gold bracelet would be really nice :) Good luck!!
Reply:the shoes sound perfect! i would totally wear that. and a smokey eye sounds good too. how are you wearing your hair? i would wear it up and with all that diamondy stuff going on on your dress i woudl avoid bracelets or a neclace. however you dont wanna go with NOTHING...so maybe you could go buy some cheap fake diamond studs or a ring? xoxo

Reply:honestly, ur such a tool. first of all its spring, ur supposed to where spring colors, not some shitty tacky purple grape disaster of a dress. either way ur goin to look like a dumbass. u should try to where a blouse with some kakis and some open toe shoes. that's real style u queer. hope i helped u out so u dont make a fool of urself at this event
