Just got brand new shoes - but sole is stinking - what can i do?

brand new elegant shoes (marco giovanni) - but sole is made of some stinking material - smells of asfalt or something- a whole room is stinking now - can i get rid of this?

if you mean the inner sole then you can replace them with new ones. You can buy these in most supermarkets , but if you ask in your local chemist they will suggest the right kind for you.
Reply:if the smell is inside the shoe...try sprinkling bicarbonate soda inside...this usually works for smells.otherwise i would try cleaning the sole with the same stuff mixed to a paste with water..good luck!
Reply:Put them back into the box they came in and walk into the shop and cause a stink...

Reply:If you absolutely love the shoes and don't want to or can't return them, put a few pieces of charcoal (loosly wrapped in tissue) in each shoe. This should absorb the odors. Cut pieces of apple would also help, but don't want to get your shoes sticky! I once bought a purse that stunk and I ended up returning it. My entire house smelled and I didn't know what it was - then my car smelled and when I finally figured it out I returned it to Ann Taylor and they said that several people had also returned the purses for the same reason (but they were still selling them) - last time I shopped there!!
Reply:That sounds awful. POOH!! Take them back to where you bought them from and get a refund. There's nothing worse than stinky shoes cos everyone will think it's you!




buying
