I have a pair of vinyl (at least I think they are) Vans shoes. What would be a good way to clean them off without damaging the material, as well as cleaning off the rubber trim at the bottom of the shoe? These are them: http://www.zappos.com/images/721/7213526...

Fom the picture those appear to to suede. Look on the tag or inside If it is vinyl it has to say man made maiterial, if is suede it should say leather upper. Suede should be cleaned with a suede brush and cleaner avail at a shoe store. If it is man made material just wipe them down with hot towel, and the rubber part you can scrub with toothe brush and soap or tooth paste, carefull not to get it on the suede Dont put suede in the washer! canvas can go in washer.....
Reply:OK get some soap, water and a rag then put the soap in to the water and then put the rag in it and then scrub it really good.
Reply:clorox magic pen or magic eraser cleaning products

or just put them in the wash,i do that with my vans!

good luck!
Reply:I don't know the best way to wash them but I can tell you now to not put them in the washer machine...thats what I did and now their ruined ; [ For the bottom part I just use a rag, water and some elbow grease! I have a pair of white etnies that I get dirty all the time so I have to wash them frequently. For the top I have some athletic leather finish stuff. You can also call the shoe store and ask them.
