Tan shoes that stain easily, how to remove the stains?

Someone owns these shoes with 'fake'or 'real'? leather.

Anyway, the color is "Tan".

If you got wet hands (not even greasy) and touch the surface of these shoes, it will stain them immediately! And it will not go away, even after days of drying.

Who knows what this material is called and how you could remove these dark "stains" from them..

Thank you.

the best way to "clean" them is to just use either tan or neutral shoe polish %26amp; polish the whole shoe so that the shoe gets moisture evenly %26amp; it should at least make the stain much less noticeable.
Reply:The materials used to make the shoe should be listed on an inside tag somewhere....either way there are water resistant and water proof sprays and waxes that can be applied to synthetic or real leather shoes.
Reply:If these are leather they sound like Nubuck which is very absorbent and very difficult to keep clean. They need protecting with Waterstop and cleaning with a Nubuck cloth on a regular basis. Do not use anything wet on them as you have already found they absorb anything that touches them. Shoe polish will ruin them.
