Cleaning nike tennis shoes?

I have a pair of all white nike athletic shoes that have started to get pretty dirty. They are made out of a nylon-like material. Being that they are all white, is there a product that I could use that would be safe to wash them with? Is it safe just to throw them in the washing machine or will they come apart?

I have had several pairs like you describe and I just throw mine in the washing machine with a load of towels. Don't put them in the dryer. Hang them outside to dry or leave them on top of the dryer overnight. You might want to stuff them with newspaper to help re-shape them while drying.
Reply:I clean mine with Lysol wipes and dry them afterwards with a rag. If there are tough stains I use magic eraser.

it had some fabric like material on them so there was no way to clean them like i normally do...





i threw them in the washer they came out clean but they look kinda wrinkely now...





i just threw them in with towels.
