What type of shoes does Doctor Who wear?

David Tennant's Doctor Who wears some funky shoes. Many people wear them but I can't remember what they are called. They are a canvas like material, come in different colours, have white soles and (I think) have a name beginning with C. Can anyone help me? it's driving me mad!!!
